EU Passes North Korea Resolution

The European Parliament yeaterday adopted a resolution on North Korean human rights, urging it to cease its human rights abuses and calling on the European Union to appoint a representative to address North Korea issues and ensure effective coordination.

The resolution calls upon North Korea to “abolish the death penalty and end the ongoing grave, widespread and systematic human rights violations, public executions and extra-judicial executions.”
